Honesty and Integrity are essential elements of our Code of Conduct. Understanding that they are role models for our players, our coaches will make every effort to reflect these values in all their endeavors with Falmouth Youth Lacrosse. 

They have familiarized themselves with, and abide by the US Lacrosse Code of Conduct which requires them to “Honor the Game” and demonstrate respect to players, coaches, officials, spectators, and fans. 

They will abide by the Falmouth Youth Lacrosse Vision Statement:

“The primary purpose of Falmouth Youth Lacrosse is to teach and grow the game of lacrosse in a fun, safe, and positive environment. We are dedicated to skill development and healthy age-appropriate competition. We strive to teach the values of sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and fair play through the game of lacrosse.” 

They will display a high level of Sportsmanship. They are expected to treat our players, officials, and opposing team with Respect and Dignity. Misconduct such as taunting or the use of foul and abusive language has no place in the game of lacrosse. 

They will teach our players good sportsmanship and Fair Play. If one of our players is disrespectful, irresponsible, or overly aggressive, they will take the player out of the game at least long enough for him to calm down. 

They will study and understand the US Lacrosse Youth Rule Book for the age level they are coaching. 

They will respectfully address the referees with grievances. At no time will they allow our players to address the referees before, during, or after games with their own grievances. They will make the Safety and Welfare of our players a top priority. 

They will attempt to maximize the potential of every player on the team through Positive Coaching Techniques and Leadership. Understanding that all boys develop differently at different degrees, they will make every effort to instill a lifelong love and appreciation for the game of lacrosse in all our players. They will play all players and ensure that each player feels like they have made a positive contribution to the success of our teams. 

They will teach the Fundamentals of Lacrosse and emphasize that winning is the result of effort and good Teamwork. Fundamentals are a necessary base and proper form for executing lacrosse skills. They include proper individual skills and techniques as well as team concepts and formations. They will encourage our players to work together and share the responsibilities of play. 

They understand that they are a Role Model for our players and will make every effort to live up to their expectations.
